Children are now born into a digital era. With smartphones, apps, video sharing platforms, television, and video calling, children are quickly becoming digital experts from a young age. How do children perceive technology? What role does technology play in early learning? How can researchers and educators design and implement educational technologies for young children?

My research interests lie in the intersection between education, psychology, and technology. I am interested in exploring socio-cultural factors related to early child development (especially in language and literacy) and understanding how children interact with technology. My ultimate goal is to design educational technology to promote school readiness among children with diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds.
